The Apuano Hostel, Marina di Massa, in the province of Massa Carrara, is located in a stately villa built in the early 1900s. It is surrounded by a 5,000 square metre garden and is only 10 metres from the beach.
Due to its strategic location, it offers the possibility of making trips to the seaside as well as inland excursions. The hostel is on the Francigena Way, created by the Lombards (even though the name comes from the Carolingian period). This route led pilgrims from Northern Europe (and the Knights of the Crusades) to Rome, the Holy City.
The villa has an extraordinary central location within a territory rich in history and natural beauty.
